Show Mode

Show Mode locks the interface to prevent accidental edits during a live performance.

#Entering and exiting

Press ⌘L (or Tools ▸ Enter Show Mode), or click the Edit/SHOW button in the top-right of the header. A banner at the top of the window indicates when Show Mode is active. Show Mode applies to every cue list in the show at once, not just the one you are viewing.

#The operating layout

Show Mode also switches the cue list into its operating layout: the edit-time columns (Trig Time, Fade In/Out, Post Time, Start, Pre-Roll, Notes) collapse away, rows grow taller, and cue numbers and names render larger — glanceable from a distance in a dark booth. Unlocking Show Mode restores the full editing layout. You can also hide the edit columns manually at any time with the column toggle button in the cue-list toolbar. The light/dark theme toggle is locked while Show Mode is on, so a stray click can't flood the booth with the light theme.

#What is restricted in Show Mode

Cue names, numbers, and settings cannot be edited.
New cues cannot be added or deleted.
Drag-drop reordering is disabled.
The light/dark theme toggle is locked.

#What still works in Show Mode

GO, Pause, Stop, PANIC, and all transport controls.
GOTO and LOAD keypad.
Live mixer faders.
USB Remotes and web remote.
Script cues (unless the cue's "block in show mode" option is on).

#Script cues and safety

Each Script cue has an "Allow in Show Mode" toggle. Leave it off (the default) for scripts that could cause harm if fired accidentally during a show. Enable it only for scripts you deliberately intend to fire live.
