WE ARE PUTTING IN THE FINISHING TOUCHES CUEFORGE2 SHOW CONTROL — COMING SOON
About

Made for the person in the booth

CueForge is show control for macOS, built by Digital Lighting Solutions. One application that runs the sound, the projection and the lights off a single cue list — because that is how a show actually runs.

Why it exists

Walk into most venues and the show is split across three machines and a lot of trust. Sound on one, projection on another, lighting somewhere else, and a person holding all of it together with a headset and good timing. It works, right up until it doesn’t — and when it doesn’t, it is always in front of an audience.

CueForge is the other approach: one cue list, every department in it, so the cue you press is the cue that happens. Add a second Mac and the show is genuinely redundant — not a copy of the file on a shelf, but a machine already running the same show, one click from taking the room.

It is built natively for macOS rather than ported to it. Audio goes through Core Audio, video is composited on the GPU with Metal, and the application is written in Swift from the ground up. That is not a marketing detail — it is why the clocks are steady, why a projector can be re-calibrated while content is playing, and why the whole thing runs on a laptop you can carry to the gig.

How we build it

Four things we hold to, which show up all over the application.

The show comes first

Nothing may risk a performance. The licence is checked locally at launch and never needs the network. Panic fades rather than slams. The backup machine is silent until you ask it not to be. If a decision is between clever and safe during a show, it is safe.

Your work stays yours

A show file is a document bundle with your media inside it — not a locked database. It opens whether or not you are subscribed, and it will still open in years. Your licence moves between Macs whenever you want, released from any machine or from your account, without asking us.

One version, one price

No editions, no per-feature upsell, no “pro” tier holding the thing you need. There is one CueForge with everything in it. What you choose is how long you want it for.

Built with operators, not at them

Almost everything in the application came from someone running a real show and saying what was wrong. Bug reports from the booth get taken seriously and usually get fixed in days rather than release cycles.

Who it’s for

Theatres and venues

A resident system that runs every show that comes through, with a backup machine and a patch that stays put.

Designers and operators

Your own copy, on your own laptop, that goes with you from job to job.

Corporate and events

Playback, projection and cue-to-cue timing for a room you have never been in before and leave the same night.

Schools and conservatoires

Students learning show control on the machines they already have. Get in touch about education pricing — you are exactly who this is for.

Houses of worship and community venues

One volunteer-friendly application instead of three, and a show file the next person can open.
