Getting Started

#Create a show

  1. Choose File ▸ New Show (⌘N) to start with an empty cue list.
  2. Drag an audio or video file onto the cue list, or use the + button to add a cue.
  3. Select the cue and press GO (space bar) to fire it.
  4. Choose File ▸ Save (⌘S) and pick a location. Shows save as a .cueforge bundle.

#Add cues quickly

  • Drag audio, video, or image files onto the list — one cue is created per file.
  • Right-click the list or use the Add menu to insert any cue type.
  • New cues are inserted after the current selection.
  • Duplicate a cue with ⌘D.

#Run the show

  • The armed cue (shown with the playhead indicator) is the one GO will fire next.
  • Press the space bar or click GO to fire the armed cue; the playhead advances automatically.
  • Use Pause / Stop on the transport bar for individual cue control.
  • PANIC (or Escape) fades everything out over a few seconds; press it again for an immediate hard stop.

#Basic cue types to know first

  • Audio — plays a sound file.
  • Video — plays a video to a screen or projector.
  • Wait — pauses the cue chain for a set time.
  • Fade — fades another cue's volume or video opacity up or down.
  • Stop — stops another cue (use Reset to stop everything).
  • Group — contains other cues that fire in sequence.
